The Gatehouse Conquest Air Riding Hat in Leather/Suede finish.

The Conquest Riding Hat combines good looks with safety and is kitemarked to BSEN 1384.

The Conquest Air has all the same standards as the Conquest riding hat but with the added benefit of air chambers at the back of the hat for added comfort.

The air chambers inflate by repeatedly pressing the pump located in the neck roll of the helmet.

To deflate the air chambers you hold down the release valve and the air will slowly deflate
The inflation/ deflation system of the Conquest Air is designed to be used when you are wearing the riding hat but before you mount your horse.

XS - 53-54cm, S - 55-56cm, M - 57-58cm, L - 59-60cm, XL - 61-62cm

Information regarding BSEN 1384

The EU has withdrawn BSEN 1384 as there was disagreement regarding how it should or could be changed or improved as a saftey standard.

As a result of this, various Equestrian bodies have made statements to the effect that they will not allow hats to this standard alone for use in competition from 2016 onwards.

British Dressage have stated that they will be allowing the standard until January 2017.

Please consult with your governing body should you be unsure regarding the use of this standard in compeition

If you do not compete under affiliated rules, you will not be affected by this change.
BSEN 1384 riding hats are still safe and will continue to offer you many, many riding hours of comfort and safety.

You can continue to buy BSEN 1384 hats and as they can be worn indefinitely.

It is likley that governing bodies that do not allow the use of BSEN 1384 hats from 2016 onwards will use the alternatives PAS015 and/or SNELL as their standards, or potentially a new standard (if it is delveloped by then).
